Cobra Gunship

Like the Centurion Tank she is really a mobile gun platform and did a fantastic job in Vietnam,

But to display your Cobra Gunship
you first have to obtain it and install it - no small job
Arrival at the museum
 
Undoing the tie down straps
 
Ready to come off
 
May need a bit of a lift
 
The slings in place and starting the lift
 
And up she goes

Sit her on the deck
 
Reposition the slings for the move into the museum
 
 Moving her inside

And now under cover - the main requirement.
 
Swinging her into position
 
Down onto her skids -- a very big job finished
Now to reassemble her!

 

A new addition to the Museum

The Jet motor above and below are from the Canberra bomber that served in Vietnam and is stored outside awaiting restoration

The motor is now in full working order.
